Minimal data. No tracking by default. TermiteSigns.com is an educational website. We do not use cookies or analytics scripts by default, and we do not accept image or file uploads. If you request inspection information, we collect only the contact details necessary to connect you with a licensed provider.

What we collect

• Contact details you submit: name, phone, email, ZIP code, and a short description of what you noticed (via our request form or phone link).
• Technical basics: our static host (Netlify/GitHub Pages) may log standard server data (e.g., IP, user agent) for security and performance. We do not access or combine this with other data.

What we do not collect

• No photos or file uploads.
• No ad tracking pixels or third-party analytics by default.
• No payment information (we don’t sell products on this site).
• No background scraping of your accounts or devices.

How we use your information

• To respond to your request: if you ask for inspection info, we (or an integrated form service) will use your contact details to follow up.
• To connect you with a provider: we may share your submitted details with one or more licensed pest control providers so they can contact you about an inspection.
• To improve reliability: limited, aggregate, non-identifying metrics (e.g., page popularity) may be reviewed to improve content. We don’t build behavioral profiles.

Lead forms & service partners

We may use a simple embedded form service (e.g., Netlify Forms or an equivalent lead tool) to capture submissions and notify us. If you request inspection information, you consent to being contacted by a provider. We are not responsible for the services of third-party providers, their pricing, or their outcomes. Retention

• Lead requests: kept only as long as necessary to process your request and for a short, reasonable period for administrative/audit purposes, then deleted or de-identified.
• Server logs: retained by the hosting provider per their standard security policies.

Legal basis (where applicable)

If you are in a region that requires a legal basis (e.g., GDPR), we process contact data with your consent when you submit a request; we may retain minimal records for legitimate interests (security, preventing abuse, basic analytics without cookies), and to comply with legal obligations.

Your choices & rights

• Do not submit: If you don’t want us to have your information, don’t use the request form or call links.
• Access/Deletion: You may request a copy or deletion of your submitted lead data. We will verify your identity before fulfilling the request.
• Opt-out of referrals: Tell us if you do not want your details shared with providers; we’ll respect that and delete your submission.

Security

We maintain reasonable safeguards appropriate for a static educational site and basic lead handling. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please do not include sensitive information in your submission.

Children

This site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
